Typography: Dungeons and Dragons House of Cards

Objective: Design a deck of interlocking cards that display the different parts of type anatomy and an accompanying box.

Each card features one side of type anatomy and definition, and the other side features an illustration of a character from the tabletop roleplaying game, Dungeons and Dragons. The vibrant colors and textures created from type mirror the creative and funky nature of Dungeons and Dragons. The box that holds all the cards was inspired by card and board games of the 80’s, when Dungeons and Dragons was at the height of its popularity. The typeface used is ITC Cheltenham Std and its unique characteristics are highlighted in the anatomy side of each card.
