Process of Writing the Listicle

Writing the podcast listicle required a lot of research behind the scenes. I was inspired to do this listicle because my preexisting love of podcasts. However my range of podcast knowledge really only extends the Dungeons and Dragons podcasts. The only other ones I listen to outside of D&D podcasts are podcasts in the same vein as “Welcome to Nightvale.” I knew however most college students aren’t only going to want to listen to D&D podcasts. The number of podcast genres is infinite, and I truly believe there is one for everyone.

I took it upon myself to learn about the best podcasts of every genre. Because of how many podcasts there are for each genre I knew I couldn’t listen to every single one. I came up with the list of criteria seen at the beginning of the article and set out to make some judgements. For each podcast I looked at I listened to about 15 minutes worth of an episode. I also took into stock reviews from people who had listened to more than I. I made sure to take stock about what they liked and disliked and looked to see how consistent those traits were from review to review. This allowed me to make the best educated recommendations. While the ones I recommend may not be your cup of tea you can look below at my notes at every podcast I looked at for each genre and try them out. Maybe you’ll find something you like that I didn’t see. That’s the beauty of podcast, each one will be perfect to someone.
